Craft Songjiang Cloth

Songjiang Cloth is a traditional cotton textile associated with Shanghai’s Songjiang region, once one of China’s major cotton-weaving centers. Its development is closely connected with Huang Daopo, who helped improve and spread cotton spinning and weaving techniques during the Yuan dynasty. Traditional Songjiang textiles include striped, checked, twill, patterned and naturally colored cotton fabrics.
