The Making
Craft Philosophy
Traditional Chinese lantern making combines lightweight frames with paper or fabric coverings, often finished with painting, calligraphy and decorative motifs. Lanterns have long been associated with festivals and community celebrations, while regional artisans have developed their own forms, structures and decorative styles.
